The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, accompanied by the head of the Unit against Violence on Women of the Subdelegation, María Luisa Castro, inaugurated today a new Violeta Point in the Provincial Directorate of Muface de Lugo. The objective of this progressive extension of the service responds to the desire to strengthen the safety net for women who are suffering from male violence.
The employees of the office were trained to follow the indicated protocol in case a woman asks for help in this space. Isabel Rodríguez stressed that the inauguration of these points responds to a process of progressive improvement incorporating the different entities willing to act and contribute to the fight against gender violence. These points will also serve to provide information and materials on how to respond to a case of male violence, as well as the resources available to women who need it.
“This is one of the many measures that this Government is promoting, with the firm commitment to end a structural problem that causes inequalities, discrimination, aggression and murders of women in our country,” stressed the subdelegate, stressing that “we will bring all the resources at our disposal so that we do not arrive late, so that we do not regret any more loss.”

No Violet Point that will be enabled in the provincial offices of Muface will be found some materials such as information guides on the procedure of action, resources for victims or explanations on the detection of the different types of violence.
