The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, participated today in the presentation of the 46th edition of the San Froilán Rally, one of the most emblematic events of motorsport in the province of Lugo and a prominent event within the Galician Asphalt Rally Championship. During his speech, Rodríguez highlighted the relevance of this event, which will be held on October 18, 19 and 20, not only as a high-level sports competition, but also as an opportunity to promote tourism and economic development in the municipalities through which it passes.
Not her speech, the subdelegate stressed the importance of the collaboration of the Government of Spain through the State Security Bodies and Forces. “The Civil Guard and the National Police will deploy a specialized device to guarantee the safety of participants and spectators, thus allowing the event to take place without incident and with total normality,” said Rodríguez, who insisted that this type of sporting event requires a joint effort by all administrations.
He also highlighted the level of the competitors who will participate in the rally, qualifying them as “the real protagonists” and highlighting their commitment and skill as examples to follow. “The talent of these drivers and teams contributes to raising the prestige of our province, consolidating Lugo as an ideal setting for first-class sports competitions,” he said.
The deputy delegate also dedicated a few words to the fans, describing the fans of motorsport as “the soul” of the San Froilán Rally. “The enthusiasm and passion of the fans are key to the success of the event, and their unconditional support is what makes this event a real motor party,” he added.
Finally, Isabel Rodríguez highlighted the positive impact that the rally has on the municipalities through which it passes, not only in sports terms, but also as a boost for the local economy.
Security Board
A subdelgada presided the first hour of the morning the Xunta Local de Seguridad of the 46th edition of the San Froilán Rally in the Subdelegation of the Government in Lugo. The Xunta was also attended by representatives of the municipalities where the rally passes, responsible for the Miño Team, organizer of the race; as well as the Civil Guard, Traffic Subsector, Local Police, National Police, Provincial Traffic Headquarters, Firemen, Civil Protection of the City of Lugo, and Xunta de Galicia.
During the meeting, the subdelegate followed up on protocols and controls in case of accident and evacuation, actively participating in the device for days to ensure the safety of the attendees and pilots of this event.
