The Government Delegation in Galicia and the Port Authority of A Coruña have agreed with the Port Authority to transfer for 4 more years the border facilities for sanitary control of goods located in the interior and exterior port of A Coruña, and the spaces for the Health Laboratory in the interior port.
Yesterday, officials of both bodies signed the addendum to the agreement signed between the Port Authority of A Coruña and the Government Delegation in Galicia in 2020 for the cession of these spaces, in such a way that it is extended until September 10, 2028.
This agreement regulates the commitments and obligations of the parties, the legal nature of the occupation of the goods, the monitoring commission, the applicable legislation, the forms of resolution and modification, and the duration of the agreement in the terms outlined.
Sanitary goods control
Firstly, the necessary space is given for the General Administration of the State to carry out the activities of inspection and sanitary control of goods at borders, as required by current regulations and according to the categories of products for which the Port of A Coruña is authorized.
These are two sites for the exclusive use of Border Inspection Posts or PIFs. The first is located on the Muelle del Este in the Inner Port of A Coruña. To this is added another building in the Punta Langosteira Pier, in the Outer Port, where the sanitary inspection services of products of non-animal origin intended for animal feed (ONA NCH) are carried out, which reach this rada.
Health Lab
In the same sense, the addendum to the agreement signed between the Port Authority of A Coruña and the Government Delegation in Galicia in 2020 has also been signed for the cession of the premises destined to the Laboratory of the Area of Health and Social Policy, located in the Internal Port of A Coruña.
The facilities are used by the services of the laboratory of the Area of Health and Social Policy in A Coruña in addition to the laboratory gas warehouse located outside the building, all located in the Muelle del Este in the Inner Port of A Coruña.
