The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, visited this morning to the headquarters of Tierra Empresarial del Atlántico (SEA) in Santiago de Compostela to share a working day with the manager of the public company, Beatriz Sestayo, in order to know the new projects of SEA and the current situation of the business soil in Galicia.
Upon his arrival, Sestayo gave Rivas a copy of the memory of the public company, which reflects, once again, the positive data, emphasizing those that refer to job creation in the business parks that he manages. The manager of SEA took the opportunity to share with the subdelegate of the Government the good moment that the entity is going through, which continues to self-finance despite the increase in investments appropriated in the last budgets. In this regard, he stressed the enormous effort that his team made by implementing a form of land right (rent with option to buy) for the acquisition of plots. This formula paid off, tripling the acquisition of soil in the last exercise.
He also conveyed the involvement of SEA by carrying out investments that value public assets, with projects such as the conditioning of the English road as it passes through the Cee polygon. Sestayo informed the subdelegate that at the last board of directors, held in June, the works of urbanization and timely modification of this park were authorized to remodel the accesses and condition the English Way as it passes through the polygon. The objective is to humanize the area, incorporating green areas and implementing energy saving measures. These actions will soon be tendered for an amount that will exceed 800,000 euros, once the Xunta de Galicia proceeds with the simplified environmental assessment.
Finally, he told him that SEA performed more than 80 percent of the services provided in the last year outside its headquarters, visiting entrepreneurs at its locations. They also proceeded to the renewal of the website with updated data of industrial surfaces in order for the entrepreneur to be informed in a timely manner.
The subdelegate of the government wanted to highlight the work carried out by SEA, especially valuing the dynamism that is moving to the polygon industries in which it is acting, and also for the personalized attention that it is giving to the companies that want to settle in the soil that the State offers through SEA. “The government, through SEA, is supporting with determination the installation of companies and business parks, this is the main objective of Atlantic Business Soil, which is doing incessant work and which is giving such good results in Galicia. This Government is the one that has the most public funds mobilized to support and favor industry, business and entrepreneurship; and we are also a Government that works on the basis of dialogue and permanent cooperation with companies, associations, collectives and also with the other administrations, and we will continue to work,” said Rivas.
This way of working was manifested in the First Atlantic Business Forum, organized by SEA in Vimianzo, in which María Rivas also participated. Both highly valued the initiative, which brought together a good number of entrepreneurs to receive information on the requirements, advantages, aids, requirements and possibilities to settle in a business park. “Gathering all this information in a single day is very useful for entrepreneurs,” said Sestayo, anticipating that a new edition of the forum will be held in the autumn.
María Rivas and Beatriz Sestayo assured that they will continue in continuous contact to try to improve the situation of the polygons and, therefore, of the entrepreneurs in order to boost employment in Galicia.
