The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, welcomed today the internship officials assigned by Penitentiary Institutions to the center of Bonxe, whom she received this morning in the Subdelegation of the Government. Together with the director, José Manuel Pernás, and the deputy director of Treatment, Ana Primoy, Isabel Rodríguez valued its incorporation “on the one hand, to expand and contribute to the professional training of trainees, and on the other hand, for the reinforcement of the workforce, which results in better care for internal people and their reintegration into society.”
After congratulating them on completing their initial training, the deputy delegate wished them many successes and “professional and personal satisfactions” as public employees, also asking them “commitment and professionalism regarding the reeducation of the prison population, one of the basic principles of the Penitentiary Institutions”.
The deputy delegate specified that the new officials are part of the public employment calls of 2023, joining after completing a selective course where they acquired the technical skills necessary for a progressive professional integration. In the coming months, trainee officials are expected to complete the first phase of theory and improvement, then undergo a training exam and, if they pass it, continue their internship period in the province.
Of the four persons, between 27 and 33 years of age, two men perform duties in the Internal Surveillance Service, and two women belong to the nursing staff of Penitentiary Institutions.
The deputy delegate took advantage of the meeting to thank all the staff of the penitentiary centers in Lugo for continuing to make progress in the task of reintegrating the inmates and the inmates, working on the education and training of these people and their full inclusion in society.
