The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, advanced today with the mayor of Culleredo, José Ramón Rioboo, the actions that will be carried out in the coming days to replenish those areas and roads of the City Council that were affected by the execution of the works of dredging and regeneration of the O Burgo estuary. This was agreed today at a technical meeting held in the Subdelegation of the Government, which was attended by the head of the State Coast Demarcation in Galicia, Carlos Gil; heads of the company awarded the project of the Ría del Burgo, and technical staff of both administrations.
The subdelegate of the Government convened this meeting just a few days after the meeting held by the delegate of the Government in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, with the mayor and the subdelegate herself. At that meeting, it was agreed to advance on a technical level in these repairs, which materialized this morning.
Today’s meeting was held in a climate of understanding and collaboration between the parties, and in it the areas that are going to be the object of the restoration works were specified. These are areas around the seafront from O Burgo to Culleredo where you can see the impact of the passage of trucks and heavy machinery as well as the accumulation of materials and equipment typical of a work of this magnitude.
In the next few days, the staff of the company awarded the restoration work will begin to work on these repairs, which, on the other hand, are common in public works. The Ministry for the Ecological Transition hosted the dredging and regeneration work of the Burgo estuary at the end of last April.
