The Subdelegation of the Government in A Coruña organizes this Tuesday in Santiago de Compostela the conference ‘Unionism and Feminism: an indissoluble path’ with which it intends to recognize the historical work of the UGT and CCOO unions in the fight for equality.
The event, which is part of the programming on the occasion of 8M, International Women's Day, will be held at the House of Cornes Associations, will be presided over by the Government's sub-delegate in A Coruña, María Rivas. In it, the retired professor Carmen Díaz, will make a narrative about unionism and feminism.
Afterwards, a colloquium will be held in which attendees will be able to participate and the awards will then be handed out to the UGT and CCOO unions. The subdelegate will be in charge of closing the event.
This is the first act that the Subdelegation organizes outside A Coruña and with it we want to recognize the weight of history linked to the trade union movement in the achievement of rights for women and in favor of equality, a struggle that this Government is continuing from its various fields of action, also making it an axis of its policies, so it is present in its action 365 days a year.
