The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, participated this morning in the air accident simulation organized by the port manager Aena at the Rosalía de Castro airport in Santiago de Compostela.
The simulation served, among other issues, to work on the coordination of the media in a disaster of this nature as well as the integration of the emergency plans of the airport with those of the different administrations.
The subdelegate celebrated the success of the exercise and thanked the collaboration of the different actors involved. The airport’s director, Marcos Díaz, Santiago Villanueva, General Director of Emergencies of Galicia, officers of the Air Force, National Police, Civil Gardia and Local Police of Santiago, and personnel of Civil Protection, Sanitary Emergencies 061, Enaire and the affected company participated in no simulation.
