The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, presided today the Xunta of Security for the preparation of the security device of the National Motocross Championship. In the meeting prior to this new edition were present the mayor of Lugo, Paula Alvarellos; the mayor of Youth and Sports, Jorge Bustos; the territorial delegate in charge of the Xunta, Marta Barreiro; as well as representatives of the organization, Provincial Traffic Headquarters, Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard, SPEIS, Local Police and Civil Protection.
The subdelegate guaranteed that the Subdelegation will make available all the necessary means for the correct development of the test, ensuring the safety of participants and spectators.
He also thanked the collaboration between administrations, allowing the development of this competition and the participation of the citizens to achieve a safe event and comply with the security rules that are dictated by the organization and the means that work in it in the work of prevention.
Finally, the subdelegate thanked that events of this type take place in the province, mobilizing a large volume of people with interest and expectation about the competition, highlighting the suitability and potential of the city for holding events of all kinds.
Event
This year the event will take place on the last weekend of February, which coincides with the words 24 and 25. The place chosen for the second race and the top categories, MX1, MX2 and 125 C.C. It will be the municipal circuit Jorge Prado de Lugo. In this edition the Championship returns with a great representativeness of the best national pilots, with the participation of about 150 pilots, both national and international.
