The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, held a meeting with the president of the National Association of Women in Fishing (Anmupesca), Rita Mínguez; and the secretary of the entity, Angeles Mille Rodríguez, to analyze the main topics of interest of the collective of women working in fishing activities in Galicia.
At the meeting, the delegate agreed to transfer to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the different demands of the association and highlighted the progress of the situation of women in the sector, such as the recent Law on Sustainable Fisheries and Fisheries Research, which includes the recognition of the reducing coefficients of the retirement age of shellfish, shellfish and neskatillas, a historical claim of this group.
