The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, received this morning the new provincial traffic chief, Alberto Rodríguez Fernández, who assumes the leadership of the General Traffic Directorate (DGT) in the province of Lugo. The deputy delegate welcomed the new position in a first meeting in which they established the priorities for the coming months with a view to the progressive reduction of road accidents.
Alberto Rodríguez, a career official of the Superior Scale of Traffic Technicians and graduate in Psychology, takes up the relief of the Provincial Headquarters in Lugo after performing in recent years the same position in the Catalan province of Girona.
Isabel Rodríguez took the opportunity to thank the work of her predecessor, Ángel Álvarez, and began to outline the lines of work with Rodríguez Fernández, focusing on awareness campaigns and road education, issues in which the new provincial chief has specialized training. “I am convinced that he will make his entire career available to Lucenses, and that together we will work intensively with a view to increasing road safety and reducing traffic accidents.”
Trajectory
Alberto Rodríguez Fernández, a career civil servant of the Higher Scale of Traffic Technicians, has a degree in Psychology for the specialty of social and work psychology. He has training in executive and team coaching, teaching vocational training for employment and completed the Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, as well as the qualification of psychologist trainer for awareness and road reeducation courses.
From November 2022 he held the position of Provincial Accidental Head of Traffic in the province of Girona, where he also previously held the positions of Provincial Subxefe and Head of Road Safety Section. In her teaching role, she taught modules of training actions aimed at unemployed people and also for social foundations, also being responsible for other projects of talent management, personal development and HR in different companies.
