The delegate of the Government, Pedro Blanco, regretted that the Xunta de Galicia incites to the crispation and polarization of society and advocates to "make useful policy for people" from dialogue, respect and looking for solutions to continue progressing. This was stated in an interview today in Radio Galicia – Cadena SER in which he assured that the regional executive is installed "in the permanent confrontation" with the Government of Pedro Sánchez, "trying to confuse the citizens" in relevant issues and that are exclusively within their competence.
In this sense, he valued “the social umbrella” carried out by the Government during these five years with measures such as the increase of pensions for the elderly, the increase of the Interprofessional Minimum Wage, the reduction of VAT and labor reform, among others; and expressed “much hope” for this new legislature “to continue advancing in rights and freedoms”.
For Pedro Blanco the Xunta is “nervous” and “in full pre-campaign”, he maintained that the PP project in Galicia is exhausted and that “the PSdeG, with the help of José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, will promote the change that the Galicians and Galicians demand”.
Green hydrogen
“Galicia will have hydroduto” insisted the delegate of the Government and qualified the community as one of the best positioned territories for the development of green hydrogen, as shown by the more than 50 million received from the Government for projects and aid in this matter. He also reproached the attitude of the Xunta using this theme for partisan uses when he knows that the infrastructure is going to be built. “It is time for them to assume the competences in Industry, leave the confrontation to one side, and get to work for the development of the industrial fabric of Galicia.
Commitment to railway infrastructures
Regarding Avil trains, he reiterated that, as the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puente, relocated, high-speed trains will be in service for the first quarter of 2024. “Galicia will be perfectly served and will have the necessary units to meet the demand,” he added. Finally, he highlighted the unprecedented investments in infrastructure by the Government of Pedro Sánchez, “more than 2,500 million euros in Galicia”, with which projects and #work are being promoted for a long time parked by PP governments such as the Atlantic Freight Corridor, in which “more than 700 million are destined”.
Sales on the AP-9 and AP-53
The government delegate celebrated the new government rebates for these channels of communication “with which 30,000 families will benefit” and which will represent a government contribution of more than 80 million euros per year. In addition, the delegate confirmed the Government’s commitment to the La-6 and guaranteed that the road will be open to traffic, direction Madrid, this year and direction A Coruña, by 2024.
Ally of the companies
“More than 25,000 Galician companies benefit from the investments of the Recovery Plan”, advanced the delegate who highlighted the support of the Government to promote the transformation and growth of the business fabric, “we are the best ally of the companies”.
