The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, today highlighted in A Coruña the leading role that the profession of Road Engineering has in the processes of energy transformation and digital progress that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is promoting in Spain and Galicia. Pedro Blanco conveyed this message to the engineers who participated this afternoon in the ceremony of delivery of Medals to Collegial Merit awarded by the Official College of Engineering of Roads, Canals and Ports of Galicia.
In this event, the delegate stressed that “today, this profession goes far beyond civil construction” and has great responsibilities in key issues such as “energy transition, protection against the effects of climate change, or the guarantee of the arrival of new technologies throughout the territory”.
That is why “this Administration has in Road Engineering the best ally for the modernization of this country”, to which added a recognition to the professionals who work in the different units of the Administration in Galicia: “Excellent professionals who strengthen this alliance on a daily basis”.
Recognitions
The delegate of the Government, together with the subdelegate in A Coruña, María Rivas, participated in the act of delivery of the Medals to Collegial Merit awarded by the College of Galicia for the last two years and which fell to Tomás Notary Vacas, José Angel Núñez, Óscar Rodríguez Gutiérrez and Mar Chao López. The delegate pointed out that these medals “mean the best of this profession, which they care for, respect and enhance as much as a trade”.
Along with these medals, the event also imposed the badges on the students who completed 25 years of school and welcomed the new professionals who joined the event in the last year.
