The subdelegate of the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, traveled this morning to the municipalities of Ribadeo and Trabada to analyze and observe the situation lived in these last hours because of the fires. The subdelegate thanked all the agents of the different bodies for the work they are doing to extinguish the fire, putting all the means at their disposal to suffocate them as soon as possible.
Rodriguez, who was in Trabada yesterday, wanted to send a message of support and strength to all citizens who are being affected by the situation, waiting for it to improve with the arrival of rainfall in the province and the flood of wind.
Not today, he went to the command of the Civil Guard of Ribadeo, where he held a meeting with agents of this body, as well as with the National Police, Civil Protection, Emergencies and the Special Security Group (G.Y.S) to study the situation and the protocols to follow, analyzing the evolution that the fires and weather forecasts are taking.
He also approached the Ribadeo command post, located at one of the sensitive points in the Devesa area, along with the mayor of Ribadeo, Daniel Vega, and other authorities. He later returned to Trabada, where he met with the mayor of the town hall, Mayra García, the president of the Provincial Council of Lugo, Tomé Roca, and the provincial deputy Pablo Rivera.
Isabel Rodríguez highlighted the effort being made by the Civil Guard, National Police, Emergencies and Civil Protection in their involvement during these difficult days, allocating all means to tackle this problem through the disposition of troops and giving information and support to the neighbors of the municipalities near the focus, especially to the people of the homes that were evacuated. He also highlighted the importance of the traffic subsector, which was alert throughout the road sector, enabling the necessary cuts to protect citizens.
