The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, reminded the Lucense youth of nothing in 2005 this morning, that Saturday, September 30 is the last day to request the help of 400€ offered by the Ministry of Culture and Sport for young people and girls of 18 years, allocating a total investment of 9,259,600€ to finance this plan. He also said that on the same date, it will be the last day on which the participants of the Xove Cultural Bonus of 2022 will have available to the amount to spend.
Isabel Rodríguez, accompanied by the councilor for Youth and Sports, Jorge Bustos, and the managers of the bookstore Marco, Rosa Suárez and Begoña Cuba, met to analyze and assess the hosting of this initiative in its last week for the beneficiaries of 2022 and which now begins for those of 2023.
Since 2022, about 50% of the province’s youth requested assistance, carrying out more than 4,100 operations worth 163,507 euros. Likewise, the subdelegate points out that the help serves to access “the free, open and diverse culture, where we welcome the new adult generations to discover and become interested in content that they would not access without this possibility.”
This month, the first 5,000 young people and girls from all over Spain have already started receiving the cards, both virtual and physical, that will allow them to make use of the help of this 2023, and it will grow to reach all those who requested it.

Interested parties need to identify themselves digitally through Cl@ve or the Digital Certificate. They can carry out the procedure personally or through the representation of an adult, for which it is necessary to bring the downloadable representation form on the website, correctly signed by the beneficiary and representative. Once the aid is granted, the total amount is paid in a single payment, in nominal virtual prepaid card format that is in force during the twelve months following the concession. The card is personal and non-transferable.
Three categories to spend
The Xove Culture Bonus is divided into three sections:
- 200 euros for live arts, cultural heritage and audiovisual arts.
- 100 euros for cultural products in physical form, such as books, magazines, press, or other periodicals.
- 100 euros for digital or online consumption in which subscriptions and rentals to virtual platforms come in.
