The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, advanced today in Lugo that 25,000 SMEs and autonomous and autonomous of Galicia already received 90 million euros from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government to advance in its digitalization: “historical figures that exemplify our commitment and that show, once again, that this Government is the best ally of companies, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, putting at the top of the table the investments that are necessary to improve their competitiveness.” Of this total, 85 million euros reached companies through the Digital Kit Program, in the form of bonds with which SMEs and self-employed people can acquire or implement innovative digital solutions for their businesses.
Pedro Blanco made this balance during the presentation of the new “Oficina Acelera Sme” (OAP) managed by the Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia (AIIG). In the province of Lugo alone, up to 4,000 small companies and self-employed people are incorporating new digital solutions to their businesses with 13 million euros of the Recovery Plan thanks to the Digital Kit program and the support of the “Offices Acelera Sme”.
It is precisely Lugo’s business fabric that will be the main beneficiary of AIIG’s “Accelerating SME Office” in the city. Pedro Blanco presided today, accompanied by the subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, the inauguration of this space, which will offer different services to SMEs, autonomous and autonomous, and which received for its implementation 311,979 euros from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The OAP inaugurated today in Lugo is number 16 in Galicia, a network in which the Government invested 4.3 million euros in collaboration with different public bodies, such as provincial councils, entities and sectoral organizations, such as the Chambers of Commerce. In addition, this OAP is the third that is launched in the province of Lugo, along with those already managed by the Provincial Council of Lugo and ASIME.
In this space, small, autonomous and autonomous companies will have the opportunity to know in situ the concrete and real possibilities of the application of solutions such as the ERP (resource planning program) or a CRM (customer portfolio management) in their business, but also of more complex elements such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data or Blockchain.
New programs
In his speech, Pedro Blanco advanced to the business fabric of Lugo two new government programs aimed at SMEs and which will mobilize 173 million euros. On the one hand, ‘Generation Digital SMEs’, endowed with 98 million euros, for the training of managers with knowledge and skills for the digital transformation of their companies. This initiative is joined by the “Support for Industrial Entrepreneurship” Programme, which will facilitate the creation of new initiatives and the growth and improvement of the competitiveness of industrial SMEs with an injection of 75 million euros.
