The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, took advantage of his visit this Thursday to the city of Entrimo to value the investments of the Government in the town, that exceed 1.2 million euros.
The delegate, who traveled with the mayor, Ramón Alonso, to the facilities of the old casino of the town, gave as an example the more than 600,000 euros of the Program of Impulse to the Rehabilitation of Public Buildings (PIREP) of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, which will allow to improve and rehabilitate this building to turn it into a tourist accommodation and increase the hotel and tourist offer of the area.
This action, which will be financed from the funds of the Government’s Recovery Plan, also reflects the “commitment of the Government with the autonomous community and its tourism since it will allow the impulse to the Miñoto Ribeiro road, one of the routes of the Camino de Santiago, which will attract new pilgrims and tourists to all of Galicia,” said Blanco.
In the same vein, the delegate highlighted the almost 400,000 euros obtained by the city council for the renovation of the river area of the Lindoso reservoir or the 168,000 euros for actions on the Covas river path, which materialized in the habilitation of a hiking route from Terra Chá to the Covas river, integrated in the cross-border park Geres-Xurés.
All these investments, which are complemented by the IDAE 214,462 euros destined to the improvement of the energy efficiency of the municipal lighting and which allowed the replacement of the luminaires of the parish of Feria Vieja and 100% of the lighting of the urban center of the city, or the 1,700 euros of the State Pact against Gender Violence, “show the commitment of the Government of Spain and its president, Pedro Sánchez, with Entrimo and with each and every one of the municipalities of Galicia”, concluded the Government delegate.
