The government delegate, Pedro Blanco, today encouraged the entities, associations and companies of Galicia to participate in the new call for “Experiences Tourism Spain”, which has just been launched by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism with 20 million euros from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The Official State Gazette today publishes the order approving the call for 2023 of this line of aid.
Pedro Blanco expressed his conviction of the potential of Galicia to attract funds from this new line, as did the 15 public entities and companies that benefited from 1.77 million euros from the previous call, which was resolved last May. “We are facing a new opportunity to promote experiences that, as in the previous call, take advantage of the exceptional nature of our cultural and natural heritage.”
The government delegate reported that, within the framework of this program, Galicia is leading innovative and sustainable tourism experiences related to the promotion of surfing, wine tourism, marine and rural tourism, the coast and the sky, or different experiences related to the Camino de Santiago. In all these cases, Galicia participates with companies and entities from other autonomous communities, since the program has an expansive vision of these tourism products.
The 15 companies, entities and groups of different types of Galicia are participating in 11 of the 36 tourist experiences selected by the Ministry throughout Spain within this program:
-Retturn: Network of tourist experiences based on the rural tradition. It has the participation of the FEGAMP.
-Cruise network of sustainable nautical destinations. In which the Galician Association of Nautical Activities and the AGDR Ribeira Sacra-Courel participate.
