Ourense, May 10, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, has held a working meeting to supervise the logistical planning of the subdelegation of the Government for the municipal elections of May 28. The meeting was held in the sub-delegation and was attended by the Secretary-General of the Government Delegation.
Emilio González reviewed the allocation to the 539 tables of the province through the 92 municipalities that compose it: the security of all phases of the process, the provision of material resources, the transmission of the official information of opening and closing the tables, participation, the scrutiny and the transmission of the results by the Representatives of the Administration.
The deputy delegate recalled that the human detachment carried out by the subdelegation in the province is crucial for the optimal development of the electoral process. From the necessary logistical support for the vote to the transmission of participation and scrutiny data on Election Day.
In these elections, the subdelegation is expected to mobilize 422 representatives of the Administration throughout the province, 86 of them in the capital, who, among other functions, will attend the polling stations and will be responsible for collecting data on participation and scrutiny and for which training activities are being carried out by the company Indra, on May 8, 9 and 11.
With regard to the State security forces, a total of 1119 officers will be mobilized; 770 members of the Civil Guard, 226 members of the National Police, 40 members of the Deputy Police and 83 members of the Local Police.
In addition, throughout that day, in the subdelegation of the Government there will be qualified personnel to resolve any incident that may arise with the representatives, the councils, the constitution of the tables or the material, in collaboration with the Electoral Boards.
Practically all the staff of the subdelegation will participate in the operation of prior preparation and development of the electoral process. Prior to the day of the elections, activities will be carried out such as: consultation with municipalities for needs and replacement of material, distribution of necessary material for which a device will be made with voluntary officials that will begin today the work and continue between May 11 and 15 to complete the set-up and subsequent transport of all necessary material for the assembly of the electoral tables of the province, electoral transport, instructions and resolution of doubts to the secretaries of the councils that will culminate with a meeting with all the secretaries of the municipalities of the province on May 23.
On the same day 28, the data will be transmitted and the incidents will be collected and modified.
