The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, has today highlighted in Brión, the total success of La Administración Cerca de Ti in the province that has already traveled a total of 64 municipalities of the 67 programmed and that will complete with the visit next week to the remaining municipalities.
According to the latest data from February, the province of A Coruña is the fourth in the national territory in numbers of attendees, with 252, and in digital certificates processed throughout Spain. Since the month of November in which the program began in the province, 1,085 people have participated and 894 digital certificates have been processed.
María Rivas has advanced this data during her visit to the city of Brión where she has been accompanied by Mayor Pablo Lago to present The Administration Near You that today has arrived the municipality.
María Rivas, highlighted today in Brión “the effort and firm commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez to improve services and benefits in rural areas to eliminate the digital divide and offer equal opportunities to all citizens”
With this program, every week the technical staff of the Administration moves to the municipalities of the province so that its inhabitants can carry out administrative procedures such as obtaining the digital certificate, knowing the working life, renewing the driving license or informing themselves about employment or housing programs.
During her visit to the municipality María Rivas explained that next week the program will end its tour of the province after visiting 67 municipalities of the province. In total during these months, a total of 1,085 people have participated in this program and 894 digital certificates have been processed.
María Rivas verified the good reception of this initiative among the neighbors and neighbors who approached the social center to process their certificate and learn to carry out other procedures.
The Government’s deputy delegate has announced that in the coming months the second phase of this program will be launched, in which the municipalities themselves will be the ones that depending on the demand of their neighbors and neighbors will request certain procedures. The Administration in this case will make available officials who will move to the municipality to carry them out. In the province of A Coruña there are already 17 municipalities adhered to the program.
With “The Administration near you” the Government fights the digital divide and “strengthens social cohesion by offering a closer and more useful administration”, said María Rivas, who thanked the efforts and dedication of the officials of the Government Subdelegation to reach the 67 municipalities of the province with less than 8,000 inhabitants.
Although today the new technologies allow citizens to access a multitude of online procedures and electronic procedures, this access to digital administration “requires adequate means and knowledge in the use of technological tools, something that some of the older population finds more difficult” so programs such as the one that has reached Brión today help to solve much of these difficulties.
The subdelegate stressed the commitment of the Government of Spain to rural municipalities, highlighting that the demographic challenge is one of its main axes of action. “We want the State to be more present in the territory and, in particular, in the least populated municipalities, so that no one is left behind,” he concluded.
The Administration near you” is a program put into operation by the Ministry of Territorial Policy with the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
