The Digital Kit program, managed by Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, is already promoting the digitization of 1,350 SMEs in the province of Ourense, which means 6 million euros from the funds of the Government's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This has been advanced today by the Government delegate in Galicia, José Miñones, and the Director General of Red.es, Alberto Martínez Lacambra, during a visit to Ourense, in which they have been accompanied by the Government subdelegate in the province, Emilio González.
José Miñones and Alberto Martínez visited one of the offices Acelera Sme in Ourense, which manages the Multisectoral Association of New Information and Communication Technologies INEO, installed in the Business Confederation of Ourense. There they held a meeting with representatives of INEO and beneficiaries to evaluate the impact of the Digital Kit and the digital transformation lines of rural SMEs launched by the Government of Pedro Sánchez.
During the meeting, they recalled the support of the Digital Kit program may be requested until December 2024. The amounts of aid can be € 12,000, € 6,000 and € 2,000 depending on the number of employees that the company or self-employed has.
To date, this Program has awarded 14,000 digital bonds in Galicia, which means that around 65 million euros of the Recovery Plan have already reached the SMEs of Galicia to implement basic digitization solutions.
The director of Red.es has also encouraged technology companies in the province to join as digitizing agents in this call. These agents are responsible for executing the digitization solutions in the companies that have received the help of the Digital Kit.
In Galicia there are currently 561 digitizing agents, which are SMEs of the Galician technological sector. These companies have already signed 8,200 digitization contracts, which is a significant turnover.
Office Accelerating SMEs of INEO in Ourense
The government delegate and the CEO of Red.es highlighted the role of the Acelera SME offices in promoting the digitalization of companies throughout the territory.
Accelerating SMEs is a program that seeks to help companies, SMEs and autonomous and entrepreneurial people in their digital transformation and, with it, promote the transformation of the economy and society towards a digital environment. Red.es works on the deployment of these offices throughout the territory through aid granted to entities interested in providing this service.
Thanks to this program, INEO is offering free support and advice, both physically and digitally, to small and medium-sized enterprises in the province in the field of digital transformation. They also carry out awareness-raising and support activities in this area.
