It did so during the presentation of the Agricolae Mundi Foundation, a non-profit entity, formed by Agricultural Technical Engineers from different parts of Spain, whose main objective is to improve the quality of life of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion. The event was also attended by the mayor of Láncara, Darío Piñeiro; the provincial deputy, Pablo Rivera; the conselleiro de Medio Rural, José González; the president of the Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Lugo, Marcos Vázquez; and the president of the entity, Miguel Agulló.
At the event, which took place at the Living and Integrated Museum of the Countryside and Agrarian Locomotion, Isabel Rodríguez recalled that in February 2023 the new law of Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Global Solidarity was approved, promoted by the Government, to improve cooperation, with a new legal framework for Spanish cooperation that will make it more effective, more agile to respond to new global challenges and more transparent. “Because development cooperation is investment in well-being and investment in the future,” he added.
