The deputy delegate of the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, said today that the Government will carry out a new action to value the natural resources of the Mariña, within its commitment to the economic and tourist dynamization of the region. The subdelegate explained that the Ministry for the Ecological Transition has awarded 321,595 (VAT included) for the project to develop various improvements in the beach of Llás, in the city of Foz.
“These works are to promote the best use of the valuable natural resources that Foz has, so that they can be enjoyed with greater comfort both by the residents of the municipality and by the numerous tourists, always maintaining absolute respect for the environment,” said Isabel Rodríguez. He also remarked that “we demonstrated with facts on the government’s bet for the conservation and improvement of the Mariña coast.”
Isabel Rodríguez reported that the actions to be carried out by the Provincial Back Service for the beach of Llás will consist of environmental stabilization, elimination of exotic species and restoration with autochthons. The project also includes the enhancement of the dunar system of this beach with the placement of informative panels. In addition, it provides for the channeling of the central tributary of the beach by means of wooden piles, thus avoiding the erosion and deterioration of this area caused by the periodic avenues produced in the said contour.
Likewise, this new investment includes the execution of a new wooden walkway in the central area of the beach and a parking lot in order to improve the parking and accessibility of the same.
As published today in the Official State Gazette, the project of improvements in the beach of Llás was awarded to the company Environmental Management of Contracts SL.
