The Deputy Government Delegate in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, met this morning in the offices of the Subdelegation of the Government in Vigo with the head of the Fundación Juan Sueño in this city, Noelia Soto, to get to know first-hand the Teranga project of Attention to Migrants. A The meeting was also attended by the head of the Immigration Office of Vigo with the aim of establishing bridges and strengthening relations between this institution and the Administration.
During the meeting, the subdelegate stressed “the maximum collaboration and permanent dialogue” of the Offices of Foreigners of the province with the Foundation within the framework of this program, which pursues the effective social, cultural and labor integration of migrants.
Likewise, Maica Larriba wanted to highlight the electronic channel as the most effective means of communication provided by the Immigration Offices, “since at present there are numerous procedures that can be carried out in the electronic headquarters, avoiding the prior appointment or personation of the interested parties, which allows to speed up the procedures and reduce the resolution times”.
In addition, the Vigo office has an email consultation service aimed at migrants and organizations and associations that work with them. This email service allows you to automatically get answers to almost a hundred queries and frequently asked questions.
“All these improvements in e-government and care for citizens allow the provincial immigration offices to resolve 97% of the cases before the legal deadline,” said the deputy delegate.
