María Rivas encourages the residents of Ponteceso to benefit from the adult training that the Ministry of Education implements in the municipality in collaboration with the Concello

The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today encouraged the neighbors of Ponteceso to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their training provided by the Government and the Concello with the extensive training program offered by the Mentor classroom. The deputy delegate participated in the presentation of the program, which took place in the Municipal Library, accompanied by the mayor, Lois García. María Rivas congratulated the councilor for his initiative, which allows the City of Ponteceso to join an unregulated online training program for adults of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training. María Rivas recalled the Aula Mentor program has been operating successfully in different municipalities of the province for years and expressed her confidence that also the neighbors of Ponteceso will take advantage of this opportunity.

During the presentation, María Rivas stressed that, with Aula Mentor, the Ministry of Education promotes open, free and distance learning accessible to the population throughout life, in collaboration with the Concello. The Mentor Classroom, located in the Municipal Library of Ponteceso, is intended for people over 18 years of age and has a catalogue of more than 170 courses classified by training areas with which to expand personal and professional competences.

Every year, the Ministry of Education calls for grants to local institutions for classroom maintenance. This year, the City of Ponteceso joined the network of Mentor classrooms, thanks to the signing of a collaboration agreement. By joining this initiative that works throughout Spain, the residents of Ponteceso can access online training, both from their home and on the computers made available to them by the City Council in the Municipal Library.

Through the Mentor classroom you can obtain training in areas such as computer and internet, office automation, design and self-publishing, web design, audiovisual media, computer networks and equipment, installation and control, programming, education, entrepreneurs, health, among others.

The courses are officially valid and once they have been passed, a certificate of achievement issued by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training is obtained. The duration of the courses depends on the time spent by each student, since it is a distance and flexible training.

The registration period is open all year round, except for the month of August, except for Cisco courses and Teacher Training courses, for which there are specific dates. The inhabitants of Ponteceso can now enrol in the courses of their interest.
