The Minimum Vital Income payroll reaches 27,401 households in Extremadura in June, where 83,528 people live together.
The Minimum Vital Income (IMV) payroll in June reached 27,401 households in Extremadura where 83,6528 people live, according to the latest statistics published by the National Social Security Institute (INSS). The average amount of the benefit is 443.85 euros per household and, overall, this month’s payroll has amounted to 13.33 million euros.
In the month of June, there are 4,460 active benefits more than there were a year ago, which means an increase of 19.44%. These households are home to 14,349 beneficiaries more than those registered in June 2024 (+20.74%).
In cumulative terms since June 2020, when this benefit was launched, in the midst of a pandemic, the IMV has reached 38,160 homes in Extremadura and has protected the 112,600 people who are part of them; 47,530 of them are children and adolescents, 42.21% of the total.
Since the entry into force of this policy, the Social Security has allocated 477.01 million euros to the payroll of the IMV benefits in Extremadura.

The IMV is a benefit aimed at preventing the risk of poverty and social exclusion of people who live alone or are integrated into a coexistence unit and lack basic economic resources. In addition, one of its main objectives is to address child poverty.
74.4% of the living units receiving this benefit in Extremadura are households with minors (20,394). Among them, there are 4,603 single-parent households. If we look at the profile of the beneficiaries of the IMV, 40.57% are minors: 33,889
The beneficiaries of the IMV are also characterized by having a strong female profile. In June, 76.7% of headlines and 53.5% of beneficiaries in Extremadura are women.
On the other hand, 94.1% of all holders in the region are of Spanish nationality and their average age is 43 years.
