The Regional Commission of the funds of the PROPHA program (Agricultural Employment Promotion Program, formerly AEPSA), has ratified the 51.79 million euros that will be distributed this year for agricultural employment in Extremadura. This committee is made up of representatives of institutions such as the SEPE, Junta de Extremadura and Fempex, and representatives of business and trade union organizations, among others. All of them have ratified the budget approved by the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.
Of the total funds of the PROPHA, 47.68 million euros are allocated to the income guarantee plan and 4.11 million euros for the stable employment generators plan.
The initial forecast is that, of this total amount, 29.36 million euros will go to the programs that are going to be implemented in the province of Badajoz, both for the income guarantee plan and for the stable job creation plan, and 22.43 million euros for the province of Cáceres. The committee has also established the limitations for the contracts for these projects during the agricultural campaigns in each area.
The funds of the Agrarian Employment Promotion Program have two lines of execution, the so-called income guarantees, which are those works executed by the municipalities and for which they hire agrarian workers to complete their incomes and acquire the right to receive the agrarian subsidy; and the so-called stable employment generating projects, which are projects that are carried out in order to promote initiatives that generate stable employment in the municipalities of the region.
