The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, today highlighted in Navalmoral de la Mata the importance of the regional incentive lines of the Government of Spain to favor the economic and business growth of regions such as Extremadura. Quintana made these statements during her visit to the Cartonajes de Extremadura–Ondupack plant in the region of Campo Arañuelo.
During his visit, the government delegate stressed the importance of sustainability, innovation and employment as fundamental pillars for business development in Extremadura. "Cartonajes Extremadura has laid the foundations for a future where sustainability and the creation of quality jobs have been the norm," he said.
This factory, which was recognized as a business project of regional interest (PREMIA) by the Government of Guillermo Fernández Vara, represents a clear commitment to investment in the region of Extremadura. "This recognition is a significant step toward promoting projects that not only create jobs, but also contribute to the economic well-being of our community," Quintana added.
Cartonajes de Extremadura Ondupack has received a significant economic injection of 12.29 million euros in regional incentives from the Ministry of Finance, in the framework of a total investment of 49.18 million euros. This investment will not only allow the creation of 50 new jobs, but has also helped strengthen the region’s business fabric, helping to alleviate inter-territorial imbalances.
Regional incentives are a key tool of the Government to promote entrepreneurial activity in areas that require additional impetus, and in Extremadura, this strategy translates into concrete opportunities for sustainable development and improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants.
With the support of the Government of Spain, Extremadura is moving towards a more prosperous and balanced future, where innovation and sustainability are the guidelines for building a solid business fabric capable of facing the challenges of the present and the future. In this regard, Quintana recalled that, within this line of support, the Government of Pedro Sánchez has allocated more than 38 million euros to companies of the Industrial Group CL, matrix of the plant visited today in Navalmoral.
