The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, co-chaired today with the mayor of Guadalupe, José Miguel Martín, the Local Security Commission to establish such a device for the Festivity of the Virgin of Guadalupe to be held on September 8 in the town.
In total, 115 troops will ensure security during this holiday. The security devices will be activated from September 6 to 9, where there will be 64 Citizen Security agents of the Civil Guard, plus 17 of the Traffic Group to which will be added about twenty civil protection volunteers. In terms of health services, the Red Cross will provide a relief post, two ambulances and 15 volunteers.
The government delegate has stressed the importance of guaranteeing the safety of people during these days in which the municipality of Cáceres becomes the “religious capital” of Extremadura.
Taking advantage of his visit to the region of the Villuercas, Quintana has visited the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Guadalupe and later he has moved to the town of Cañamero where he has been able to know the facilities of the Cañalva Wineries.
“The region of Villuercas stands out for its wines with its own personality and the wineries that produce wines in this region are an example of how, through a careful selection of the fruit and the use of the most advanced technologies, exquisite wines with the highest quality can be produced” said the delegate.
