The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, visited today the Troop Training Center No. 1 (CEFOT) of Cáceres, where he highlighted very positively the planned investment by the Ministry of Defense with 5,592,848.62 euros for this Center.
This action will allow the construction of 18 classrooms with capacity for about 200 people. Of these classrooms, six will be equipped with advanced technology, while the remaining twelve will go to general studies. In addition, two new parking areas will be created, which will add 130 new spaces, including nine with electric charging points. The project also includes the installation of photovoltaic panels in the new building, along with improvements in megaphonia, air conditioning and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
This investment is in the process of contracting and is destined for the project of construction of an aulario building with a period of execution of 22 months.
During his visit, Quintana had a first meeting with the Colonel, Álvaro Kromer, and then he visited the facilities and met the students that he found in this Center for his training.
It should be remembered that Spain has two troop training centers, one is in Cáceres and the other is located in San Fernando (Cádiz).
