The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, participated this morning in Badajoz in the ninth anniversary of business leadership where he reaffirmed the commitment and collaboration that the Government of Spain has with companies in Extremadura to solve the problems in which entrepreneurship finds itself.
During his speech, Quintana assured that Extremadura and the whole of Spain is in an “exceptional” economic moment, due to macroeconomic data, the pace of growth, debt reduction, the increase in consumption, savings, exports, as well as the continued decrease of the unemployed and the increase in the number of contributors, among others.
In this regard, the delegate explained that the Recovery Funds are an instrument that is not only strengthening the business fabric, but also improving the living conditions of citizens, increasing their income and consequently, increasing consumption.
Likewise, Quintana wanted to remember that more than 50 percent of the 2.8 billion euros that have arrived in the Recovery Funds region, have been targeted by small companies in the region, not counting the almost 20,000 companies that have been protected during difficult times with ICO credits.
In turn, the delegate explained that investment is being made in the creation of the right environment for the growth of companies, such as the almost 200 million euros allocated in digitization or the 30 million euros for specific projects through the Digital Kit program especially in medium and small companies.
Finally, Quintana congratulated the organizers because “thanks to joint initiatives like this and those of each one of you, together, among all, we are improving the lives of citizens and building a better society.”
