The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is carrying out the superficial and punctually structural rehabilitation works of the Southwest A‐5 motorway firm, between km 392,300 and 407,821, in the Badajoz East‐Badajoz West section, in the province of Badajoz. The amount of the award of these works amounts to 14,275,901euros (VAT included).
To ensure the safety of workers and users, from tomorrow Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m., the following traffic effects will occur:
- The total cut of the road to Portugal between km 395,250 and 399,850.
- Exit 400 towards the N-523 Cáceres will be cut. An alternative route will be enabled.
- The incorporation from the N-523 to the A-5 in the direction of Portugal will continue to work normally.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic during this affectation, the alternative itinerary to go towards Cáceres from the road direction Portugal will be to continue along the motorway and take exit 403 to make a change of direction, and then take exit 400 towards the N-523 Cáceres. The affectations are expected to last about 4 weeks.
