The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, met today with the mayors of Olivenza, Herrera del Duque, Llerena and Montijo to inform them of the intention of the Ministry of the Interior to install in their municipalities a Document Updating Post (PAD) in non-police headquarters.
This type of device allows you to renew ID certificates, change passwords to access electronic certificates and carry out data consultation and electronic ID verification operations.
Quintana, accompanied by the Superior Chief of the National Police in Extremadura, Elisa Fariñas, has explained to the municipal officials that the purpose is to bring the Administration closer to the citizen in those centers in which there are no Physical Police Units deployed.
This measure is part of the Digital Identity Plan of the National Police and the implementation of this service in other municipalities of Extremadura could be announced in the near future.
