The Government Delegation in Extremadura, through the Coordination Units and the Unit of Violence Against Women and in collaboration with the Office for Equality of the University of Extremadura, will hold training and informative days for the detection and intervention of victims of gender violence aimed at around 800 university students in the region.
During the month of November and in the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25, both institutions organize for the first time these talks aimed at future professionals.
In the university campus of Cáceres they are oriented to the Degree of Nursing, Sports Sciences and the Masters of Law and Training of Secondary Education Teachers. In Badajoz, for the Degree of Nursing, for the faculties of Science, Education and Psychology, specifically, for the specialties of Economics and Orientation, and finally, for the Master of Training of Secondary Education Teachers.
The aim of these days is to provide professionals involved in the health, educational and legal fields with tools for the early detection of victims of gender-based violence.
In recent years, the Government delegation in Extremadura has trained State Security Forces and Bodies, Local Police and the various professionals involved in the comprehensive recovery of victims of gender violence.
Days
Students of the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in Secondary Education will begin this training at the University Center of Cáceres. The first talk will be on November 6 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters and the second, on November 10, at the Faculty of Teacher Training of Cáceres.
On November 13, these days will be directed to the students of the Master of Law in the Faculty of Law, the Degree of Nursing and Sports Sciences.
On the Badajoz campus, the sessions begin on November 7 aimed at students of the University Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training at the Faculty of Education and Psychology. Also, in the month of November they will develop the rest of the talks for the students.
The duration of each day will be two to five hours, given a subject in coordination with the deanship of the different faculties for the training of students.

Those responsible for these presentations are, among others, the Deputy Prosecutor of the Violence against Women Court No. 1 of Cáceres, the Director of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Cáceres, psychologists specializing in gender violence, professors of the UEX, Civil Guard, as well as forensic doctors.
