Around 350 personnel will ensure the safety and good development of the Fairs and Festivities of San Fernando 2023, which will be held in the city of Cáceres from May 23 to 28. This has been decided this morning at the Local Security Board, co-chaired by the subdelegate of the Government in Cáceres, José Antonio García and the mayor of the town, Luis Salaya.
The device will be composed of a total of 160 agents of the National Police, with the participation of the Operational Response Group (GOR) and the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR).
The Civil Guard will have 52 personnel, which will be joined by 82 agents of the Traffic Group who will monitor the entrances and exits to the fairgrounds, as well as the accesses to the city with alcohol, drug and speed controls.
As every year, the firefighters of the Fire Prevention and Extinguishment Service (SEPEI) of the Provincial Council of Cáceres will be in pre-alert.
In terms of health services, the Extremadura Health Service (SES) will strengthen the Point of Continuous Care (PAC), located in the Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Montaña, and the Red Cross will have an advanced command post; basic life support ambulances, adapted vehicles, as well as doctors, nurses and technicians. Finally, ARA will add approximately 50 volunteers.
In addition to the subdelegate of the Government in Cáceres and the mayor of Cáceres, the National Police of Cáceres, the Civil Guard, Traffic Subsector, representatives of the Local Police, SEPEI, SES, Red Cross, ARA and the Government team of the City Council have participated in the meeting.
