Pensions have risen in Extremadura by 26.48 percent from 2018 to the present, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, relating to the month of January, which put at 234,035 the pensions paid and place the average pension at 992.37 euros.
It should be noted that between 2018 and 2023, the average pension in Extremadura has gone from 784.57 euros to 992.37 euros, which means an average increase of 208 euros per month or, in other words, 26.48% more. Between 2013 and 2018 the average pension went from 723.89 euros per month to 784.57. Which meant an increase of 60 euros.
Retirement Pension
Retirement pensions are the most numerous and represent 57.62% of the total in Extremadura. They are the highest pensions and in 2023, after the rise of the current government, they have stood at an average of 1,139.73 euros per month, with fourteen payments, 223 euros more than in 2018 or what is the same, with an increase of 24.44 percent.
Widowhood and disability pensions
Widowhood pensions are the second most frequent in Extremadura and represent 25.65% of the total. In 2013 the average pension for widows in Extremadura stood at 594.03 euros per month and in five years they grew 26.92 euros per month. Since the arrival of this Government, these pensions have gone from 620.95 euros to 772.95 euros per month, which has meant a monthly increase for widows and widows of Extremadura of more than 152 euros more per month and an increase of more than 24%.
As for permanent disability pensions, the evolution is similar, since between 2013 and 2018 they went from 747.17 to 789.01, with an increase of 5.6%; while between 2018 and 2023 they have increased by 20.84%, going from 789.01 to 952.87 euros per month. In other words, it has gone from an increase of 41.8 euros per month to an average monthly increase of 164 euros more.
Orphanhood and family favor
The rest of the existing contributory pensions are those of orphanhood and those of favor of relatives, which between 2018 and 2023 have risen by 23.40% and 26.47% respectively, standing at 476.75 and 614.22 euros per month currently.
Likewise, the 10,524 pensions that have received the gender gap supplement in Extremadura stand out. A supplement whose average monthly amount as of January 1 reaches 71 euros.
