The Government delegate visits the new offices installed in municipal units on a provisional basis

The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has visited together with the mayor of Catarroja, Lorena Silvent, the Social Security offices that are located “provisionally” in units ceded by the City Council.

The delegate has valued the implementation of these services that until now were offered in Social Security units in València after the floods of last October 29 will devastate the office of the Social Security Care and Information Center (CAISS) of Catarroja. At the moment, thanks to the agreement reached with the consistory, these services are again provided in Catarroja in municipal units where face-to-face and telephone attention is taken up in the municipality.

According to the delegate, the future headquarters of the CAISS of Catarroja will be located in a building owned by the General Treasury of Social Security, of about 1,000 m2. In these facilities will also be located “the office of the Treasury, with the advantage that it entails for citizens to have these two centers in the same building”. In this sense, he has pointed out that “services are unified in order to attend to the citizens in a direct and adequate way”.

The investment of the Central Government in Catarroja on the occasion of the dana has amounted to 247 million euros, of which 138 million euros have been for the reconstruction of 100% of the municipal infrastructures.
