The Diputación del Valencia has received 54.4 million euros from the Government of Spain for the repair, restitution or reconstruction of infrastructure, equipment or facilities and services of municipal ownership affected by the dana

Delegate of the Government: “The reopening of this bridge is a symbol of the Spanish Government’s support for reconstruction”

The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has assured in Carlet that “the full financing of the repair of the bridge over the Magro river by the Government of Spain is a clear symbol of its unequivocal support for the reconstruction and recovery of all municipalities affected by the dana”.

This was affirmed by Bernabé in the act of opening the access bridge to Carlet on the CV-5241, affected by the dana, whose repair has been carried out with the aid, which the Ministry of Territorial Policy has destined to pay 100% of the repair, restitution or reconstruction of infrastructure, equipment or facilities and services of municipal ownership affected by the dana.

The Diputación de Valencia has had an investment of five million euros from the Government of Spain for the replacement of the damaged section through a replica of the pre-existing structure, decreasing the number of holes from four to two and thus increasing the light of the same to adjust to the current hydraulic regulations and the recovery of the board through double T prefabricated beams supported on neoprenes in the lintels, which are supported by two piles and these, on a deep foundation through piles.

This intervention, the delegate of the Government has clarified, has allowed “the reconstruction of the bridge as it was, adapted to the current regulations, maintaining unchanged the functionality of the structure, as well as its geometry”.

Of the investment of 1.7 billion euros that the Ministry of Territorial Policy has allocated to local entities, the Diputación de Valencia has received 54.4 million euros.
