The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, visited the performances on the beaches of Brosquil in Cullera and La Goleta in Tavernes de la Valldigna together with the mayors of both towns, Jordi Mayor and Lara Romero, respectively.
In this visit, the delegate highlighted “the commitment of the Government of Spain in the regeneration of the beaches of Comunitat Valenciana”. Faced with this, “the Generalitat wants to punish the Valencian coasts with the approval of a regulation that does not protect the coast from the terrible consequences of climate change”. In the case of the beach of Brosquil and La Goleta, “the Government continues to work with the will of institutional coordination.” In this regard, Bermabé recalled that it was the Government of Spain that managed to “expand the amount of sand that the Generalitat wanted to transfer only to the beaches of Cullera from the dredging of the mouth of the Júcar affected by the dana”. Finally, in contrast to the 20,000 m3 of sand proposed by the Generalitat, 140,000 m3 will be transferred “and not only to the beaches of Cullera but also to the Goleta de Tavernes”.
Meanwhile, the Government of Spain - said the delegate - "continues to work on cleaning the beaches affected by the dana".
