The OPE 2025 device will ensure the safety and fluidity of passengers and vehicles in the ports of Valencia and Alicante

The Government Delegation, together with the State Security Forces and Bodies and the Port Authorities of Valencia and Alicante, deploys, from tomorrow, the special device of Operation Paso del Angol (OPE 2025), which takes place between June 15 and September 15. In this operation, thousands of citizens of Maghreb origin cross Spain to go and return from their countries of origin during the summer period. This device also includes members of the Port Police, the Local Police, social care personnel, health and translators, among others.

The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has indicated that OPE 2025 contemplates “a wide security device, which will ensure maximum fluidity in shipments and a health and social assistance device to meet the needs of citizens in transit”. Bernabé added that the Valencian Community “has a very important weight in the OPE through the ports of València and especially Alicante, since it hosts 3% of the displacements that are carried out nationally”.

The delegate added that “all the mechanisms of the State are in place so that this OPE 2025 is calm, develops normally and does not generate impact, especially in the traffic that will occur on the roads through which it transits or in the ports”.

OPE Calendar and Peak Influx Dates

The device is planned from June 15 to September 15 divided into two phases:

• Departure: from June 15 to August 15.
• Return: from July 15 to September 15.

Special days of higher expected influx:

• July 14, 1, 2 and 3 of August (in operation exit).
• 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 August (in return operation).
