The Delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has inaugurated, together with the mayor of Aielo de Malferit, Juan Rafael Espí, the integral reform of the Grup Nou financed by a majority of the Program to Promote the Rehabilitation of Public Buildings (PIREP Municipal) of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The Government has invested more than half a million euros in this rehabilitation, according to the delegate. Various administrations have participated in the works “in an example of what is the responsibility of the institutions, of collaboration and of real policy that helps people”, said the delegate.
The new premises (old schools of the town) will host the Permanent School of Adults, the Municipal School of Music, the União Musical d´Aielo, the Dance Group la Solana, the Coral Llorenç and the Casal Jove. The Grup Nou is a school building, built in the 70s and which was in operation until 2004. It then hosted several associations in the town.
In that act, the delegate pointed out that “the Government invests in the Valencian Community through the PIREP (Local and Autonomic) program about 120 million euros.
The objective of this plan for the rehabilitation of buildings for public use and ownership is, as Barnabas recalled, “to renew the park of public buildings until quality, high energy efficiency and decarbonized constructions are achieved in line with the objectives pursued by the European Union in the fight against climate change”.
The Government, he added, “thus plays an exemplary role, both in the fulfillment of the obligation of energy renovation of the public park built and in the quality of the actions carried out with the financing of the PIREP”
