The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has presided, together with the Chief General of the 6th Zone of the Civil Guard in the Valencian Community, Arturo Prieto, the inauguration of the Chief Colonel of the Valencia Command, Juan Martínez Ros.
In that act, the delegate stressed the “fundamental role of the Civil Guard in the dana that has tested our capacity for response and solidarity.” The Civil Guard “has given protection and support to the citizenry in a great spirit of service. She has been an ally and has been dedicated to help the people of Valencia”, said Bernabé, who has also had words in memory of the civil guard and the wife of another civil guard who died because of the flood in Paiporta.
The delegate has highlighted “the growing role of women in the Civil Guard”, where it already exceeds 10% of agents. “Equality,” he said, “is not only an objective but a reality that is consolidated day by day.”
Bernabé has highlighted from Colonel Martínez Ros “his vocation of service, his leadership and dedication”. Martínez Ros has gone through the commanders of Vizcaya, Alicante, Oviedo and Segovia and has obtained a doctorate with a thesis in which she has addressed the fight against hate crimes “one of the most priority missions in contemporary challenges”, mentioned the delegate.
