The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has met with different associations of neighbors of the neighborhoods of La Raïosa, Sant Marcel.lí and Malilla of the city of València with which she has analyzed the situation in which the works of the Access Channel and the actions in public housing planned by the Government in the Park of Engineers and the Artillery.
On the Access Channel, Bernabé reminded the neighbors of the investment of 655 million euros from the Government of Spain for this “historical claim”, which show “the iron commitment” with the city of Valencia. At the moment, he added, “all the roads have been diverted to build the tunnel without affecting the circulation”. The delegate also recalled that the Ministry of Transport “works tirelessly on this infrastructure whose works go in time and form to be able to anticipate the lands of the future Green Corridor”. A project, he recalled, that “will depend on the municipal autonomy of the City of Valencia”.
In the Mediterranean Corridor, the government has already invested 2.6 billion euros. 100% of this infrastructure “is in execution, project or planning”, while stressing that “every week the Government invests more than 20 million euros” in the railway transformation of the Comunitat.
Public housing: access to affordable rent
Bernabé has also transferred to the neighborhood groups “the firm commitment of the Government with housing”. The neighborhoods of the south, he said, “will witness a real transformation.”
In this regard, it has indicated that the urbanization is already under way for the construction of 1,038 affordable rental homes. In October, the housing project of the Park of Engineers will be tendered, where a total of 438 homes will be built with an investment of 22 million euros, which will be the first action of the new public housing company created by the Government of Spain.
In relation to the Artillery Park, where the construction of 600 houses is planned, the project is being redone in response to the modifications made by the City Council.
However, the delegate stressed “the firm commitment of the Government to integrate the southern neighborhoods in the city of Valencia and turn them into a bastion of growth”. “The government works actively in these neighborhoods, guarantees affordable housing and boosts urban development with the Access Channel.”
