The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has held together with the mayor of Riba-roja, Robert Raga, a meeting with local businessmen to analyze the Government’s aid to those affected by the dana.
In this act, the delegate has reported that the Government will allocate 14.5 million euros to the reconstruction and improvement of the municipal infrastructures of this municipality. The order for the granting of aid from the Government of Spain to repair, restore or rebuild the municipal infrastructures of the affected municipalities of the province of Valencia, amounts to 1,721 million euros that is distributed among all the affected municipalities.
In the case of Riba-roja, the investments will be destined for cleaning reconstruction, pavements, gardening, urban furniture in green areas, industrial areas and environment of the Turia riverbed; rural roads and damage to pipelines, treatment stations and rainwater pumping stations. In addition, there will be provisions for car parks, road signs, and directories in industrial areas and the repair of damages in urban roads, housing estates and industrial estate. It will also be invested in damage to pipes, tanks and pumping stations; replacement of poles and luminaires and the repair of the municipal sports pavilion, the Olive Polygon, the Culture House/Auditorium, the Historical Bridge over the Turia River and the Upper Pass over A-7.
The Government of Spain initially approved a package of measures and direct aid to Valencian and Valencian women from the same month of November. So far, three royal decrees have been approved that have mobilized more than 16,600 M€.
Bernabé stressed that the Government of Spain “is doing everything possible to, as soon as possible, rebuild the infrastructure and deploy the social shield in all affected municipalities”. Therefore, “the Government has been, is and will be at this time that they require a very fine surgery, where you have to listen to the citizens, the social agents and the mayors and mayors”.
