· The total number of Civil Guard students in the C.Valenciana planned for 2024 is 358, of which 114 are women
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has presided over the incorporation of the new 157 agents of the Civil Guard for the Command of Valencia together with the chief general of the 6th Zone, Arturo Prieto. This figure represents an increase of about 75% compared to last year
These new civil guards that come from the 129th promotion of Baeza and the 170th of the College of Young Guards of Valdemoro, are incorporated into the main posts of Oliva–Gandia, Paiporta, Massamagrell, Cullera and Carcaixent; in the Command and Main Planas of Sueca-Almussafes and Xàtiva; and in the Security and Protection Section of Picassent.
Bernabé highlighted the “positive increase” of 108% in the presence of women, since from the 25 of the previous year in the province of Valencia it has gone this year to have 52. “A commitment from the Civil Guard to reduce the glass ceiling and make effective the incorporation of more women into the body,” said the delegate.
The total number of students of the Civil Guard in the Valencian Community by 2024 is 358, of which 114 are women
The delegate has shown her confidence that the new agents “will be prepared to respond to any challenge.” But above all, “before those who mark the current times: cybercrime, hate crimes and gender violence”. Barnabas has emphasized male violence “in the face of those who deny it. Because male violence exists and must be named to confront it, just as all the Forces and Bodies of the State do.”
Barnabas has also highlighted “the important role of structuring the territory” provided by the Civil Guard. Thus, he said, “the destination in companies such as Llíria, Requena or Xàtiva, will provide the knowledge on the ground of the great work that Benemérita performs in the municipalities of interior areas.
The delegate has pointed out to the new troops that “they are entering a welcoming, open and diverse land.” In this sense, he has stressed that in the Valencian Community “more than 5 million people live and live together”. Although this population “increases because of the millions of tourists who visit us every year”. But even so, “we are a safe land, where the crime rate places us where we belong by population,” he said.
Currently in the Valencian Community there are about 7,700 members of the Civil Guard, of whom 908 are women. In the province of Valencia, there are 4,025 members of the Armed Institute, 404 of whom are women.
