State Pact Against Gender Violence
On the occasion of this meeting, Pilar Bernabé wanted to thank the City of Xàtiva and its mayor, Roger Cerdá, for their work in implementing the funds of the State Pact against gender violence: “In Xàtiva they have made very effective use of the resources transferred by the Government of Spain, which increase noticeably in the line intended to develop current spending actions between July 2024 and June 2025.”
In this regard, the Government delegate stressed that “prevention is the key in the fight against violence that kills women for being so” and reiterated her gratitude to the City of Xàtiva “for working on active policies of prevention against gender violence”.
Crime rate
In addition, Pilar Bernabé wanted to emphasize that “Xàtiva is a safe city”, based on figures that, she says, “are conclusive”, since “the crime rate in Xàtiva is ten points below the Spanish average”. The government delegate assures us that “this is great news and we will continue to work and be vigilant to ensure the safety of all people.”
Bernabé reiterated that “we cannot generate a feeling of insecurity when it does not exist”, and that “the Valencian Community is a community that is at optimal levels of security”.
