The Government Delegation has agreed to deploy more than 3,500 troops of the Civil Guard and the National Police in the Valencian Community to ensure safety on the beaches on the occasion of the Night of San Juan. These officers are joined by the local police officers of each municipality and the officers of the National Seconded Police Unit.
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, who today presided over the coordination meeting of the device together with those responsible for the security forces, has indicated that it will be launched from 15:00 on June 23 and will be extended until 7:00 in the morning of the following day “for the control of celebrations that are expected multitudinous”.
According to Barnabas, the National Police and Civil Guard “will work in coordination with other security forces” to “prevent criminal acts and to make the night go by without significant incidents”. In this sense, the delegate requested to the citizens “prudence and zero tolerance in the consumption of alcohol and narcotic substances and zero tolerance to sexual assaults”.
In this regard, the delegate has highlighted the “importance” of the Violet Points for the fight and prevention against male violence. In fact, the delegate said, the State Pact against Gender Violence includes provisions for municipalities to install it.” Thus, for example, “the city of Valencia has received more than 240,000 euros for this concept this year from the State Pact against Gender Violence”
In addition, Bernabé has announced that two mobile offices of the Office of Complaints and Attention to Women (ODAM) will transit through the beaches of València to protect the possible victims of male violence.
Likewise, the delegate has encouraged the download of the Alercops APP since it is also “essential in the prevention of crimes and in situations in which the location of people is necessary”

On the other hand, Bernabé has indicated that in the case of the city of València, the operation will be composed of 1,500 troops between FCSE, Local Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection and all the volunteers who “will work in a coordinated way”. According to him, the National Police will control the beach of Malvarrosa and Cabañal, while the Civil Guard will be located on the beaches of the Southern Districts (El Saler and Pinedo) and will carry out traffic controls and consumption of alcohol and drugs.
