The Government delegate advances that improvements will be carried out in other police stations in the city
Bernabé adds that “after years of neglect, the rehabilitation of the Zapadores Commissioner is now a reality”
The Delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has presided over the act of reopening the Commissariat of the Maritime District. In this event, which was attended by the Superior Chief of Police in the Valencian Community, Jorge Marti, the delegate pointed out that "the new facilities are proof of the commitment of the Government with the security of Valencia and with the Maritime". In this regard, he stressed that “the improvement of police spaces is a commitment of the Government of Spain”.
Bernabé recalled that, when last October the Chulilla Street building was evicted, “the ministries of Interior and of IInclusion and Social Security They went to work to give a quick response before the end of the year. And so it has been.” “There has been a quick and diligent response thanks to the coordination and collaboration between ministries” and, as he added, “these actions are going to be repeated” so that the National Police Enjoy “the best possible facilities”.
In this regard, Barnabas has indicated that “the best example of the Government’s commitment to police infrastructures” is the Zapadores Police Station “that today is already a reality after years of neglect.” These works, which were awarded in January, have an investment of 23.5 million euros.
In addition to improving the infrastructure, the delegate also highlighted the increase in human capital. “The Valencian Community and the city of Valencia currently have an unprecedented number of agents, thanks to the new calls for competitions that have reversed the situation experienced in previous years,” said Bernabé. In the last three years, ”we have incorporated new police forces until reaching the almost 8,000 police in the Comunitat Valenciana”. All this has made the Comunitat Valenciana and the city of València “comply with the parameters of security and freedom”.
The new units of the Maritime Commissariat, of more than 1,000 square meters, are located in the Social Security building of the C/ Ernesto Anastasio 44-46.
