According to the latest statistics published by the National Social Security Institute (INSS), the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) payroll in April reached 2,728 Ceutian households in which 11,197 people live. The average amount of the benefit is 606.11 euros per household and, overall, this month’s payroll has amounted to 1.7 million euros.
Since the entry into force of this policy, Social Security has allocated more than 70 million euros to the payroll of IMV benefits in Ceuta.

The IMV is a benefit aimed at preventing the risk of poverty and social exclusion of people who live alone or are integrated into a coexistence unit and lack basic economic resources. In addition, one of its main objectives is to address child poverty.
