The Government Delegation values very positively the course of the second critical weekend within Operation Strait Pass 2024 in which more than 10,000 documentary verifications have been carried out daily at the Tarajal border crossing.
Specifically, 39,231 people and 10,503 vehicles have passed through the Tarajal border between Friday 26 and Sunday 28 July.

During the past week 50,866 people and 14,512 vehicles have left from Ceuta to Morocco and on the contrary, from Morocco to Ceuta, 37,635 people and 14,512 vehicles have entered. This data has meant that the National Police has carried out 88,501 documentary verifications during the last 7 days.
In addition, the traffic has been fluid, there have been no incidents and the waiting time in the bagging area, at specific times, has not been more than one hour.
Data from the start of OPE 2024
Since the beginning of Operation Passage of the Strait 2024, on June 13, the data that have been recorded at the border of the Tarajal are very similar to those of the previous year with 502,622 documentary verifications.
In addition, 148,384 vehicles have travelled through the border crossing both to Ceuta and to Morocco.
